La Casa di Basso Giro - III (seppia)
After inking La Casa di Basso Giro - II, I immediately began sketching and drawing out the third version in this series. There were several adjustments that I wanted to make. Along with a shift in perspective, I wanted to see if I could get the piece to breath a bit more by drawing out each of the bricks in the pavement individually, instead of working with them as simple sections.
I also decided to use the maru-style nib instead of the G-nib for inking, in the hopes of giving the piece a lighter overall feel. In these senses, I do feel that I succeeded in giving the piece a different feel while still remaining true to the reality of the place that inspired me.
