Più Alte - I

Più Alte - I is the first artwork that I attempted to color using tints and shades that I mixed solely with the three Maimeri primaries (blu primario cyan, rosso primario magenta, giallo primario, along with nero d’avorio, corresponding to cyan, magenta, yellow, and ivory black respectively.

I was particularly pleased with the metallic green of the drainpipes and gutters. Even though gutters and drainpipes are typically brown in Pari, I wanted to convey the feeling of a copper patina in this piece to help balance out the brown tones and reds of the brickwork.

I will definitely do another version of this piece in the future, most likely without the fence and with a bit more perspective with the hopes of making one feel as though they are truly looking upward.
