Il Magazzino Giù Scale - I

This is another piece inspired by my life in Pari, Italia. It never ceases to amaze me how much character is packed into such a small village, provided that one takes the time to notice the details.

I wanted to capture the different levels that one finds in this medieval village. The “street level” where the black wrought-iron door sits is on the main giro, while the steps go up another level where a patio or veranda sits.

Behind the veranda, there is a wall, whose top reaches the level of the Palazzo — the highest point in the entire village. These levels, or layers, combined with the weathered stonework structures and brick pathways pack an incredible amount of character (and texture) into an incredibly small space.
